Located in Beira Interior, Bairrada is particularly characterised by its wine production with a Controlled Designation of Origin. It is also in this region that you’ll find the beautiful Serra do Caramulo and Termas do Luso (hot springs), famous for their medicinal waters.
Also in this region, you may visit the imposing Serra do Bussaco, where the Royal Palace is located, considered one of the last legacies of the Kings of Portugal. Another one of the region’s attractions is the Aliança Underground Museum, an exhibition space that allows the visitor to discover the cellars and traditions that marked the history of Aliança Vinhos de Portugal.
